Bolanle Olowu is the managing director and partner at IPI Watch Services.
Bolanle offers advice to clients on the operation and application of Intellectual property law in Nigeria and has over the years been engaged in the protection, enforcement and maintenance of the proprietary rights of right owners.
Her involvement in transactional matters relating to diverse areas of trademarks, patents, copyright, designs, brand franchising and license agreements made her decide to focus her career on intellectual property.
Bolanle has carved a niche for herself in investigating and prosecuting infringement/passing-off cases in court. She manages trademark portfolios for local and international clients
and also represents trademark owners before the Registrar of Trademarks and Registrar of Companies.
Bolanle gained her LLB from the University of Lagos and has been in active practice for over 22 years. She has postgraduate diploma degrees in international intellectual property law and international business organisation from the College of Law, UK; and an executive master’s certificate in project management from the Project Management College, UK.
